A trustee’s role is to maintain a focus on student achievement and well-being and to participate in making decisions that benefit the entire board district while representing the interests of his or her constituents.
I am humbled to be re-elected as a
Thames Valley School Board Trustee, representing Middlesex County.
As I have for over 20 years, and the past four years as a Trustee, I remain dedicated to seeing students reach their greatest potential. I believe in the strength of our rural schools, I recognize and champion diversity, and the importance of collaborating with parents, students, educators, municipal leaders and the community.
My top priority is preserving and prompting rural community schools in a manner that ensures all students in have local access to quality programing and the mental health resources they need to be successful.
Rural schools are the heart of the community, it is essential that students have access to schools where they live. Over the past four years I have demonstrated passion to seek innovative solutions, I have the courage to stand-up, speak up, demand answers and fight for viable rural schools.

Arlene Morell has served with excellence as Trustee representing Middlesex county over the last four years with utmost integrity and unprecedented commitment. She lives where she serves! She is a community builder shown by her service to the rural community of North Middlesex. Arlene has supported the past rural school debates with respect and honesty. I strongly endorse her as she seeks re-election as a TVDSB Trustee representing Middlesex County. She understands the vitality of rural community schools. We are privileged to have her currently lead the educational community of TVDSB as the Vice-Chair. Arlene has the courage and experience to lead during the next term as Trustee. She would be a great asset to TVDSB as they deal with the current challenges and ever changing needs of our students in our local schools. Judy Hochachka

She has demonstrated time and time again the passion that she has for the Thames Valley District School Board, especially our rural schools, and the students that attend all of these schools.
